Pregnancy Support and Guidance

In the womb the baby is nurtured by the mother’s thoughts and feelings as well as sound. The extraordinary benefits of music have been documented over the last twenty five years, a period of great scientific advancement in the understanding of life in the womb and its consequences there after. The experiences during pregnancy may leave an imprint in the fetus that manifests adversely in adulthood. The prenatal music sessions offered to the parents-to-be bring conscious awareness as to the nurturing care that is needed during this time of our development.

No musical experience is necessary to participate in these sessions. These are experiential classes that are easy to integrate into one’s life using the voice as the main instrument and the use of musical instruments that do not require previous training. Included are exercises and explorations to find your strengths and insights into who you are to be a loving, relaxed and happy mother to your growing child.

  • Fees: sliding scale for the above sessions between $75-$105.

A 7 Week Course for pregnant mothers in their second and third trimesters of pregnancy. Sessions are designed to be developmentally sound and enjoyable for mother and child. This includes:

  • Active relaxation and listening, guided imagery and visualizations, composing a welcome song, learning lullabies, toning, chanting and learning specific vocal exercises from Uncovering the Voice for the preparation of birth, creative movement, color work and more.
  • Weekly sessions are 90 minutes in duration.
  • A 30-minute free consultation is available for those interested or considering the 7-week course.
  • Fee for the 7 week course : $350
