Therapeutic Singing: A Tool for Birth Professionals

Therapeutic singing uses the human voice — tone, rhythm, and vibration — to:

  • Relax and support expectant mothers during pregnancy
  • Deepen prenatal bonding between parents and baby
  • Preparation for labor and birth
  • Help doulas and midwives create a calm, grounded atmosphere
  • Enrich the caregiver’s own sense of presence and confidence

Singing during pregnancy helps mothers to bond with their babies, finding their own rhythm, building confidence, and bringing comfort to the birthing process. Singing guides toward a healing process that brings harmony to body, mind and spirit.

Doulas and midwives who work with Giselle learn how to incorporate therapeutic singing into their practice — not as performance, but as a deeply human, supportive presence.
